Lazy Sunday

It's no secret, that my favorite danish knit designer is

Daffodil is now on the needles -
I just wish, I had bought the original yarn.

At the moment I'm a lazy knitter and don't want to think so much.
If this project doesn't work, it's a waste of money to buy yarn....

If it works, I might knit one more!
...but first I have to finish this one.

Beside knitting I made oven dried tomatoes, rhubarb compot,
snack buns with rye and chocolate, bread, humus.

All for now.
Time to knit a bit more and watch House of Cards with my hubby.

..back from Rome

Last Christmas my husband gave me a weekend to Rome
- the first weekend in May, our first Rome visit.

I want to share just a few photos with you.

Rome, sunny days, good food and wine, time and love -
who can ask for more....not me!

Picnic Quilt

It took me one year to finish the Picnic quilt,
but now it's finally done.

I'm pleased with how it turned out.

This is the quilt collection so far -
Picnic quilt
Blue Sea (inspired by our vacation in Portugal 3 years ago)

This photo reminds me of the Spring time, we all need so much.
Cheerful colours and sunshine.

A mix of vintage sheets, embroidery and new fabrics,
just the way I like it.

The back is made of light green and white gingham.

....do you like quilts too!?

Joy

I enjoy the Easter break very much,
I just wish, it was a bit warmer.....

The lovely Easter wood ornaments are from a local tea shop.
The owner of the shop told me, that they would also order Christmas ornaments!

Now it's time to knit, watch a movie (Beck - a Swedish crime story - one of my favourites!) -
but first I have to make some popcorn.

I hope, you enjoy Easter time too.

Easter break

I need cheerful colours and prints
- and these tiny projects reminds me of easter and spring.
A perfect colour theme for my crafty spirit.

Many of my crafty friends are passionate tea drinkers.
I think, this small an easy idea is a great way to re-use the tea tin.
I use the tin for needle pins, when it's empty.

...all you have to do is to make a fabric flower and glue it on the tin.
Happy crafting!

My hubby and I started the day with a long walk in the forrest round a lake.
We brought tea and enjoyed the silence.
A great way to start the easter break.
